If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

In case you’re interested, here’s something I wrote for our writers (pronouns changed and edited a bit so it applies to you guys), about the three sections that make up CAPC 2.0:

There are now 3 different sections on the site. The only one our writers are required to write for is the New/Recent section, according to whatever they’ve committed to. But we want to encourage the writers to feel free to take part in the other two parts of the site.

That brings us to the ”Of the Moment” section. This is basically the new “asides” section. Writers treat it the same way they did asides, but they also feel free to write up to one or two paragraphs about whatever. This area is, just like in the past, a space to write about just Pop Culture even if you don’t tie it blatantly into Christ or Christianity. It is also designed to facilitate conversations between our writers, hence the “…says” titles. This is one way we’re putting new emphasis on individual writers.

The third new section is the twitter sidebar, something that seems small but actually has a somewhat substantial amount of people who subscribe to it and read it regularly. Hopefully subscribers will increase. During a normal time, this will be a place for questions, thoughts or news about CAPC - the site. However, what it is really intended for is when there is a hugely popular event. We will be using twitter to liveblog those events, much like we did with the political conventions.
