Economic Bust, Cinema Boom

Films are booming at the box office. Sales are up 17% and attendence 16% from last year.  A lot of is has to do with people wanting an escape from economic hard times (a film is cheaper than going to Disney, one woman says). Now as much as ever Christians should be in tune with the work of the film industry. With more people at the movies, films could help provide illustrations and contexts to express the Gospel even moreso than before. Let us also pray for those Christians in the industry, that God would support them, embolden them, and grow their numbers for His glory.
