Marry Well: A Better Path to Marriage is an online dating site aimed at marriage-minded Christians. Tim Challies wrote about the site which he sponsors and it sounds like a very unique and interesting site.
I have mixed feelings about online dating, but is interesting to hear of a site that is trying to address some of the flaws and limitations of online dating (especially for Christians). I think most Christians think of online dating about like they do Battle Star Galactica–they think it is weird and they don’t understand it but they have never actually seen it. I suspect if they took the time to examine and online dating they wouldn’t find it to be so strange and may even admit that there is some value to it (I am told that BSG is actually a very interesting show–I have never actually seen it).
Anyway, this article made me think about tackling online dating in a post or two here at CAPC. What do you think?

As a Christian and an experienced online dater, I actually like the concept of Marry Well. Currently, the site is still very new and there seems to be an overabundance of males vs. females, so there is that issue. However, the concept of being intentional about marriage and upfront about it is refreshing for me.
I would love to see more posts on here about online dating, its an interesting topic.
Lynn, you will have to let me know how it goes over there. I am interested in this issue because I have some guys in my church that might benefit from a site like this and I think in their situation, it might be wise for them to look into something like this.
While online dating carries with it some dangers and limitations, I don’t think that it is something that Christians should categorically rule out. All forms of dating have inherent dangers.
