Top five things about Rich that make me pull my hair out:
1) His conviction that Harry Potter is the Christ, or Christ figure, or whatever he calls it
2) His use of the word “brilliant” for everything, most of which is hardy brilliant
3) His indecisiveness about which video game system is the best
4) The fact that he continually second guesses the value of the CAPC podcast, but continues to produce it
5) The fact that he doesn’t pay me for my contributions to CAPC…not even when I use to do the podcast with him and share all my “brilliant” ideas.

Wow, Rich didn’t pay you? He consistently pays me about 65% of what we take in, in proportion with my contributions to the podcast.

Okay, those were actually pretty funny.

1. Isn’t he?
2. True.
3. He was mislead before. Now he’s found the true console.
4. I don’t know about that one, but I’ve starting writing CaPC instead of CAPC.
5. Since the Dane is our most regularly commenter, we’re fairly reliant on him to provide us some kind of income. So Dane, if we posted ads, would you promise to click on them several times a day from several different IP addresses so we could pay David?
@Noble Alan – Would that mean having to uninstall AdBlock Plus for the site? I only do that grudginly for Berardinelli’s site and for Penny Arcade. I don’t know if we can make it a trifecta.
If anyone should get paid for this site, I think that someone should be me. I mean except for the whole chasing Kiel away with one lonely comment. I would agree to a pay cut or demerit for that one. Though I have to confess I did steal a quiet grin after I let my game-face drop.

1. If HP is not a Christ figure, then what literary characters are? And what sets them apart?
2. I’m sure I misuse the word occasionally, but I like the idea that I err on the side of over-appreciating art rather than under-appreciating it.
3. Best for me. Not to mention it’s not my indecisiveness that’s the culprit here. It’s Nintendo’s utter failure to maintain and encourage quality software.
4. I’m not even sure what you’re talking about here, but like most things in my life I’m constantly second guessing myself. If I’m involved in it, you can guess I’m going to agonize over whether or not it’s helpful at all. I think this can be healthy.
5. You’re lucky CaPC doesn’t pay, David. If it did, you’d be fired!
brilliant!
Who thinks CAPC looks better than CaPC? I do. Much better. Or, Capc might be better. Or maybe not.
It’s undoubtedly CAPC. Once one stoops to CaPC, one might as well just switch to CPC.

I agree. The list is great.

CaPC hints at giving credit to California for this site…or computers everywhere.
Huh?
It took me a while too Rich, but it’s there. Keep thinking about it….CaPC….
If I understand the joke it’s not really that funny
