   Huh. Sounds like my high school graduation a bit, I guess, but other than that cap-and-gown nightmare of nylon and tassels, it doesn’t ring any bells.

   He is a former member of Caedmon’s Call gone solo. He’s a great musician and has been a bit of a controversy among the average Christian music industry. Rumor has it that this particular controversy is over his use of the word “s***” in a song. The record label won’t allow it and Webb is fighting for it. But that’s just rumor, Webb has not expressed what the actual controversy is over.

   Maybe David will write a letter to his fans saying he’s investigating what he can do legally to make his comment available uncensored. That would be sweet.

   Woah, you’re right! I just found this in my inbox:

   friends-
   it’s been awhile, i know. but the thing is: we’ve got a situation over at capc that has gotten a little out of control vis-a-vis me and the publisher. it’s time to fill you in.

   as some of you may know, i recently commented about derek webb’s latest effort to alienate conservative christians, ‘stockholm syndrome’, which he’d recently finished and turned in to the record label only to have them decline his invitation to make money hand over fist with it. while rich has been very supportive over the years, this time i didn’t get the response i expected. though maybe i should have expected it. predictions have never been my thing.

   it seems i’ve finally found the line beyond which rich will no longer allow me carte blanche in offering my opinion, and apparently i’ve crossed it. honestly, i thought it’d be the dane to cross that line first.

   honestly, i consider this comment my most important yet and am adamant about all of you reading it. i mean, it’s still there so you can read it, but it’s missing what i probably consider to be three of the most important letters of the alphabet. you see, the letters h and i are the only non-o letters to be perfectly symetrical along two axes. and t is the middle initial in seth t. hahne’s name. we had originally hoped that you would be able to read my unadulterated comment some time this week, but at this point rich is the only one to have taken the pleasure. and he has taken it all for himself.

   there may be issues of greed involved.

   the majority of the controversy is surrounding one comment of mine, which i consider to be among the most important comments on the particular post to which it was connected. so we’ve decided to break the rules. there, done. consider them broken. i’ve probably said too much already. have a nice day.

   p.s. we have a plan and we’re moving ahead, but we’re not sure what kind of trouble we might be getting into. we’ll let you know as soon as we know how best to market that potential trouble.

    Just for clarification that is total fiction, and I didn’t even write it…but it’s funny, that’s for sure. I understand the censorship Rich, not sure why I didn’t think to do it. So I guess I’ll forgive you.
