I would say he went beyond what I would expect a president to say to a group of children. So yes, he said enough. Is he their pastor? Their parents? No, and we shouldn’t hold him to that standard or expect that of him every time he’s confronted with a question concerning religion.
I agree with what you’re saying. I believe that what he said is vague enough so that you cannot draw any conclusions about his personal beliefs, but I don’t think it does any good for Christians to be indignant and claim he is the anti-christ for not laying out the plan of salvation.
