Harry Potter 6 Rolls Over Dark Knight Record – This kind of blew me away. I thought for sure interest would wane once all the books were out. My hunch is that the staying power of the HP story will give the film series legs as well.
Sense I’ve already been pretty darn hyperbolic when it comes to the HP series, I’ll just come out and say I think this is a sign that the series could become a classic.

Still, from everything I’ve heard, HP6 isn’t good enough a movie to get the kind of repeat business DK got. I know a lot of people who are excited for it though, and that should translate into some pretty dollars. For my own part, the only films this summer that interest me are Moon, (500) Days of Summer, and Ponyo.
