Will this be as good as Fireproof, and is that a good thing?

Holy cats that looks bad.
It really does! I didn’t see Fireproof but at least Kirk Cameron can act
I’ve seen it.
Nice visuals – technically well done. I’m a filmmaker.
The money shows on the screen.
Regretfully the story is pedantic, predictable and painfully slow.
It reminds me of the early Billy Graham films from the sixties and seventies.
Good for believers – makes them feel warm and fuzzy.
Will it reach nonbelievers? God works and speaks even through me with my warts and foibles.
If even one is reached then it has been worth it.
I wish it would have had a better story.
And child actors who could, you know, act?
Yeah, I find that generally speaking good acting makes the difference.
Just the trailer alone is painful to watch. I applaud the effort, but this does not have mass appeal, so for that reason it may miss the mark. (That is if the filmmakers intended for non-believers to see it and be changed.)
But (!) Benson (!)!!
