The nominees have been announced and the season is upon us, and yet this year Oscar the Grouch is probably gaining more attention (though Ben Bartlett would probably say that he always gets more attention). But it's not just the mediocre awards show that is gaining little-to-no applause from fans this year, it seems to me that no one really even cares about Hollywood at all this year.

Bill Reichart is a husband, daddy of two daughters and a pastor at Big Creek Church (pca) in North Atlanta. Bill received his Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Before pastoring a church, he worked with college students in the northeast for over 16 years. He really enjoys movies, science fiction/fantasy writing (yes he’s been to a Star-Trek convention!), the Simpsons and theology books - not necessarily in that order. He has always been fascinated with the intersection of culture and his faith. 
I guess of all the names on that list…I was most surprised by the name Charlie Sheen. Now I know of his being Catholic but I have also followed his lifestyle for many years and there is nothing biblically Christian from what is seen…if we are known by our fruit, as Jesus says. He has also, on a number of occassions spoken in opposition to Christ being the only way to heaven. It simply would not be tolerant and accepting if he truly believed that message even though it is the prominent message of his church. Funny thing.
