I’m not sure how I feel about this game becoming a movie. The fanboy in me is unsurpressably excited, but the critic in me says Bioshock only really works as a video game. But the fact that a decent (I would argue masterful) director is at the helm is making me feel really good about it.

As terrible an idea as Bioshock helmed by the guy who was responsible for me never seeing Pirates of the Caribbean III (by making Pirates of the Carribbean II), that pales in comparison to the fact that Sony Pictures wants to adapt Shadow of Colossus to the screen. And worse, that they’re using Justin Marks to do so. That’s Justin “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li” Marks.
Amusingly, it’s because of my fanship for Shadow of Colossus and Bioshock that I’m repulsed by these ideas.
