Ben, Bravo on the assertion about taking on responsibilities as opposed to rights. We seem to forget that liberty involves self-government and not necessarily being sheltered from all risk and potential failure. Holding on to the latter over the former is a sign of a people in decline. I think President Obama does need to get a handle on how to be a party leader as an executive (very different from being a Senator).

Only just got to the State of the Union bit, but wanted to say: as someone who owns a Kindle but no iPhone, Netbook, or laptop, the iPad interests me. Obviously not as an eReader which it was clearly never intended to be, but as convenient portable internet.

I won't get one because well, think of all the books I could buy for that much, but still. It'd be nice to have.
