MTV isn’t really known for profound thought about life, death, God and philosophy, but Fall Out Boy has brought those concepts to the braindead masses. In this episode, David and Rich discuss the implications of such a surprisingly profound band, and also share their top 5 most profound rock songs.

Great show guys. You really had me worried when I saw the title. I thought, “am I going to have to enjoy Fall Out Boy after I listen to this?” Thankfully, I didn’t.

I thought the section of form and content was particularly good. I wish more artists would take that issue into account.

I had never heard of Fall Out Boy before, so I skipped this podcast - but a song of theirs is on Rock Band so I suppose I’ll have to familiarize myself with them sooner or later.

It’s really just a jumping off point to talk about broader ideas anyway.
